Best of Baking Steel: Week 1

The #BakingSteel hashtag has been hotter than ever & we love seeing all of the creations that you guys are sharing on social media! So much so, that we have decided to start a weekly blog post highlighting some of the "Best of Baking Steel."

Let's dive in & check out some of this week's favorites....

First up, Alexandra Stafford, of Alexandra's Kitchen. Alexandra recently used her Baking Steel to create a personalized version of Chez Panisse's famous calzone, made with goat cheese, mozzarella, prosciutto, scallions, garlic & parsley. Her successful trial run has us inspired to try our the recipe ourselves! (@AlexandraCooks)

Next up, we have a pepperoni, sausage and green pepper pizza, made on the Baking Steel by Instagram user, Fventura20. Our only question is, how do we get a slice? (@fventura20)

Asima Aurora, is a pastry chef from Toronto, Canada whose Instagram feed is always full of beautiful, motherwatering, food shots!  Last week, Asima took to Instagram to show us her latest Baking Steel pizza: whole wheat crust, fior di latte, salty black olives spicy beef salami, jalapenos & small hanful of fresh basil. (@hautesucre)

Real Food By Dad blogger, Matt Robinson, took to Instagram to show how he uses his Baking Steel. For a recent, pizza night, Matt created a Carne Asada pizza, causing some serious food envy on our part! (@realfoodbydad)

Kevmasse shows us his take on a classic margherita pizza. Using his Baking Steel, Kevin highlights two of our core practices, simplicity & sharing the love! (@kevmasse)

Here we have a cheeseburger pizza from Andris Lagsdin.  You may have heard of him? He did invent the Baking Steel after all.... (@andrislagsdin)

Over on Facebook, our friend Bruce has shared one of his mushroom Baking Steel pizzas with us. This is a gorgeous looking pie....

To quotes Richard's wife, "This is one of the best things you have ever made!" Made with love on his Baking Steel, we have to give Richard a major applause for his take on the Khachapuri recipe we posted early last week!

Lot's  of inspiration this week! Keep posting and using the #BakingSteel hashtag for your chance to earn Baking Steel bragging rights :)
