August is finally here and we have found ourselves in busy mode as we start gearing up for the official launch of the Baking Steel Griddle. It's been a wild ride and we can't wait to finally share this versatile, long awaited product with you all. It is going to transform your kitchen, mark my word!
A few media samples have been sent out and we have been blown away by the reviews. Food & Wine called our Griddle their "latest obsession" and the Boston Globe featured a very kind article about our launch. It's incredible and we are so grateful for the love.
To start off this week's Best of Baking Steel list, we have our good friend Alexandra Stafford, of Alexandra's Kitchen. We recently sent Alexandra a Griddle sample and her first at bat was one hell of a breakfast sandwich. We'll let the picture speak for itself...
@alexandracooks let us share this beautiful breakfast photo of hers, not only did she use the Griddle for the bacon and eggs but she also baked her English Muffins stovetop on the Baking Steel Griddle.
Next up, we have Molly, also known as @thepreppyhostess who shared her pesto, spicy chicken sausage pizza with us. Hot off the Baking Steel, this pie had us seriously inspired.
If you ever find yourself in New York City, we advise you take a class at Pizza A Casa. And we're not just saying that because they use our Baking Steel, these guys are crazy popular and talented. Check out this beauty they shared on their Instagram feed this past week. Hot out of the oven and off the Baking Steel, this baby is ready to be sliced!
Topped with sweet Ontario peaches, red hot chilies, fresh thyme, sage, Chèvre, and lots of Gruyère cheese, this Baking Steel creation is picture perfect! We can always count on Asima, @hautesucre, to come with a gorgeous and creative pie!
No sauce with pepperoni, fresh mozzarella and shredded aged provolone. This beauty came straight out of the Baking Steel Test Kitchen via Baking Steel Founder, @andrislagsdin.
Following Modernist Cuisine's method, @ivankrazy, ran a whole wheat crust test. Using the Baking Steel he was able to achieve a firm & toasted crust. Gorgeous. Thank you for sharing!
Rosemary & Olive bread from @thecookerywife. If you haven't used your Baking Steel for bread baking, you are doing it wrong!
